Biography
Larry obtained his B.A. from Laurentian University in 1970, took 1 year toward Bachelor of Divinity before graduating with L.L.B. from Queens University in 1974. He articled with his father H. D. Peterson Q. C. and later with the firm of Wishart, Noble, Nori. After being called to the bar in 1976 Larry returned as a practicing lawyer with Wishart, Noble, Nori and was placed in charge of their Wawa office, including White River and Hornepayne clients. In 1977 Larry assumed the law practice of Peterson & Peterson from H. D. Peterson located in Bruce Mines. In 1978 Larry opened a branch office in Blind River and in 1979 opened a third office in Sault Ste Marie. With a support staff of 13 highly skilled personnel all three offices are well organized and operate on a full time basis. Larry is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association and the Algoma District Law Association. Larry has always been active in the community and is members of and secretary for the Bruce Mines & District Chamber of Commerce, and the Bruce Mines & District Historical Society. Larry has been past director of the Victorian Order of Nurses and past CEO of St Andrews United Church in Sault Ste Marie. |
